Software called an HRIS, or human resource information system, is used to systematically store employee data and information on a consolidated platform for a business. Employee management, performance management, payroll, leave, training, development, and many other HR functions may be easily managed with HRIS. The HRIS can be cloud-based, allowing users to log in from any device at any time, from any location, or it can be deployed on a company’s own technological infrastructure.
Important HR data pertaining to payroll, accounting, and employee information may be fed, tracked, and managed from a single location with the aid of HRIS. It facilitates organization and the automation of the HR process. Along with other HR duties, it assists in overseeing all aspects of HR operations, including managing employee data and attending to each employee’s life cycle.
Human Resource Management System, or HRMS, is another name for HRIS. All of these systems are referred to as HCM, or Human Capital Management System.
