Definition
A proxy in project management is a representative who makes decisions on behalf of a stakeholder. Proxies are common in Agile methodologies, where a Product Owner may act as a proxy for customers.
Example
- In Scrum, a Product Owner represents end-users and ensures their needs are met.
- In corporate settings, a VP may assign a manager to attend high-level meetings as their proxy.
