It is specifically a legal agreement agreed upon by both employer and employee, which says that the employee will agree to a trial period or probation. Generally, in employment, the probation period or trial period is three to six months. If both the employee and employer are happy with the work done by the employee, he or she will be shifted to a permanent employment policy. The removal from probation is highly dependent upon factors like the performance of the employees, the skill set they have, work behaviour and their learning pace.
