The highest-ranking C-suite executive in a company is the chief executive officer, or CEO. Making important business decisions, overseeing the company’s operations and resources, and serving as the public face of the organization are among the chief executive officer’s primary duties. The CEO serves as the board of directors’ primary communication channel. An organization’s chief executive officer has professional responsibility for the company’s overall success. CEO is frequently replaced by titles like MD (Managing Director), President, or Chief Executive in many firms. The Board of Directors receives direct reports from the CEO and holds them responsible for the company’s success.
